Itty

                                                             Itty Ainsworth [on the left]

I think that when special people leave this world, they should be remembered and spoken about a lot, because their departure leaves such a gaping hole.

Itty Ainsworth was one of those special people.  So full of life, so genuine, so honest and so full of great advice for everyone to learn from.  If you knew her, you knew she never spoke or listened to Lashon Hara. She also used to lecture us all, whenever she heard someone say something in that vein, she would stare into their eyes and say ''when you die and stand before Hashem... it's just you.... you can't blame anyone else.... don't speak Lashon Hara''.

I have a beautiful silver bangle here that she gave me, she just took it off her wrist and said ''I want you to have this''.  You couldn't say no to Itty, she would insist until you realized it was pointless to argue.

There are so many things I could say, but I think Sori Block has already done an outstanding job of saying it, so please click here to read My Friend and Mentor, Itty Ainsworth.

Devorah, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend Itty (and Tzvi and all others involved in such tragedies, or niftar from difficult illnesses).

Sori described her exceptionally well, in such a way as to bring to life what a special woman she was. Also, what generosity, spontaneously gifting you that silver bangle! Wow... It's a shock when one learns of the sudden petirah of a tzadeket acquaintance, let alone under such circumstances.

May all tzoros cease as soon as possible.

Hashem comfort all her family and her friends.

Of course this includes you Devorah.

Feel so down when i think of the loss of so many lives and especially the families left behind to grieve. This is all very heart breaking.

May Hashem reach out with love and compassion for all those going through the loss of loved ones and friends .. Amen.

Dear Devorah, here is an article
The Israeli officer who helped identify the remains of Itty Ainsworth in the building collapse in Surfside, Fla., stood by the Torah scroll on Thursday as her granddaughter was named after her, Chabad.org/News reported.
