He has previously made interesting movies, especially the one about his life. If you haven't seen it, check it out. His story is much like Rav Anava, but without the drug cartel piece. He managed to get some top-level people in the film, so let's see what he put together.

Most people really don't want moshiach to come. If you are a man, are you willing to watch your eyes? If you are a woman, are you willing to dress modestly? If most people are honest with themselves, they arent ready for him or want him to come... as that will be a prerequisite... so let's stop lying to ourselves that we we really want Moshiach to come...

Wow! I can’t wait to see it! Looks so inspiring!

I don't understand why people especially frum Jews keep referring to it as October 7th. It should be always referred to as the Simchat Torah / Shimini Atzeret war.

SGK it's just a trailer, father talking to his son about Moshiach... Oct 7 when we realize we were sleeping amongst our enemies.... and then goes into bits about who and what Moshiach is/ will be.

Release scheduled for July 2024. Which matches the 9 month schedule people talked about in comments on another post. Everything is by hashgacha pratis [Divine Providence] so I'm just mentioning that, please don't remind me that Moshiach can come any day, we all know that.

Avraham Weiss: Doesn't matter what the people want - because we are almost at the appointed time when G-D wamts. The real reason that many want to push it off is because if things are going the way they want (such as a good life with lots of money, etc.) and also as you yourself say 'we'll have to abide by
Hashem's Laws; 'In its time, I will hasten it', even if all are wicked - there will be no holding off Moshiach's coming. The world was created for the time of Moshiach when every living thing will know there is only Hashem,
Ain od Milvado!

You might 'know' it in some form, but as Rav Brody says, the furthest distance in the world is between the head and the heart. The issue is whether you truly want Moshiach to come today in your heart. I think that people who want Moshiach today are not that interested in all this talk of future dates. Yahadut is very cognitive behavioural. Our thoughts influence our actions but also vice versa. Constantly talking about Moshiach coming at some vague or specified future date dampens the ratzon for Moshiach today. Even though it is hard to constantly maintain the ratzon for Moshiach Today at full capacity, we all have to ask ourselves if there has ever been a day, a moment even, in our lives and especially since the start of the war, where we have felt and expressed to Hashem, enough already, we need and want Moshiach right now.

This is why I don't see it as a negative when people who are suffering terribly, want the geula to relieve them of their travails. The opposite. The pain is elevated to the strongest ratzon for the urgency of the geula for all of Am Yisrael. In the bracha in the amida, ki kivinu kol hayom: the geula is in response to the hoping, and it doesn't even say every day, but all day. Constantly basically. This is what hastens the geula, achisheina betoch be'ita.

If Rabbi Akiva has no clue who Mashiach is / was . believe me he has no clue neither does anyone .

Mashiach will be an unknown from an unknown family.

Here is a Brief passage from Rambam's Iggeres Teiman – Epistle to Yemen – that indicates that he would not agree with this possibility. Regarding how and where Moshiach will arise, he will arise specifically in the land of Israel and there will begin his revelation... Regarding how he will arise, he will not be known at all before his arising while he is not the Moshiach, so that it would be said about him such-and- such from such-and-such family. Rather, a man will arise who will be unknown before he is revealed.
(Iggeres Teiman, ed. Kafah p. 52)
Moshiach will be unknown before he is revealed. He will not be known by name, only as such-and-such (Ploni ben Ploni). The Rebbe, of course, is known throughout the world. His biography is included in encyclopedias and his obituary was carried in all the major newspapers. He cannot be Moshiach because Moshiach will be unknown before he is revealed.
