So.... is Trump a good guy doing weird things to confuse the enemy..... or have all the Trump supporters been victims of the biggest psy-op in the history of the world, believing him to be Israel's savior, only to find out that he has a different plan up his sleeve?
So many conflicting views on the internet, but the concerning thing for me is that people I have learnt to respect over the years, who actually know what they're talking about, are all saying the same thing..... that we cannot trust the Donald, and we're all stupid if we trusted him until now.
I don't have a definite answer to any of it, I'm just trying to find out the truth.
Anyway, I just caught up with Tomer Devorah's blog post "All Hell Will Break Out" - see comments there where she is speaking about Miriam Adelson.
Miriam - and her late husband, billionaire Sheldon Adelson - is very connected to Chabad and specifically to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who gave her a bracha for children when she was already 40 years old.
Sheldon Adelson did not know Hebrew and could not follow the exchange with the Rebbe. But upon hearing that the Rebbe had blessed them with children, Adelson, who was already older than 60 and had never had biological children of his own, was incredulous.
“All of our friends have wished us with marital bliss and long life, the Rebbe was the only one who blessed us with children.” And so it was that Sheldon and Miriam Adelson were blessed with two children, Adam and Matan. The couple has continuously expressed their gratitude to the Rebbe for his blessing. [Source]
Video of the Adelsons receiving blessings from the Rebbe before their wedding in 1991
Anyone who has ever received a blessing from the Rebbe for children, and then gone on to give birth, never forgets. It is impossible to distance yourself from the Tzadik who brought down the bracha for your children. I should know, I was also the recipient of such a bracha.
Miriam Adelson is still very connected, and she is very far from being a stupid person. She would not be bank-rolling Trump if she thought his intention was to divide up the Land. As Judge Judy would say "that doesn't make sense and if it doesn't make sense it didn't happen".
The Rebbe had very strong words to say about giving land away, he was totally opposed to that and said it was FORBIDDEN to give any land of Israel away. He said "Israel is not yours to give away".
This is the same Rebbe who blessed Netanyahu back in the early days when Bibi was in Washington. The same Rebbe who told Bibi "You can stay here until the arrival of the Mashiach". The same Rebbe whose Kever was visited by Trump prior to the election, which he won with a Landslide Victory.
So either something is rotten to the very core with ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, or people are mis-understanding what is really happening.
Truth will be known soon enough.

ReplyDeleteThis agreement is beyond baffling—it’s madness. On day one, three hostages are to be released, and Israel is to begin withdrawing from Gaza’s populated areas—territory that cost the blood of 400 soldiers to secure. For three people, we will surrender the hard-fought control that came at such a steep price.
And after a week? Four more hostages, and we hand over northern Gaza, allowing residents to return. Let’s think about this: if the area is unsafe for Israeli soldiers, how is it safe for these residents? And what happens when these residents come "home" to rubble and ashes? Who will feed them? Where will they live? What resources will they have? The chaos will be fertile ground for Hamas to regroup, rearm, and strike again.
For 7 hostages—whose condition we don’t even know—we’ve dismantled 15 months of painstaking military efforts. And then comes the icing on the insanity: 1,000 prisoners—murderers, terrorists, and criminals—will be released, including nearly 200 serving sentences of over 15 years for heinous crimes.
Do the math. For 7 hostages, we’re exchanging 1,000 murderers. For 34 hostages, maybe alive, maybe not, we’re releasing these monsters into the world and undoing everything our soldiers bled and died for. Who thought this was a fair deal?
And it gets worse. According to the terms, security will be overseen by a “Qatari-Egyptian technical security team.” Let that sink in. Israel, a nation with one of the most advanced militaries and intelligence networks in the world, is now outsourcing its security to Qatar and Egypt. They will control who and what enters northern Gaza. Carts and trucks carrying who knows what, crossing through unchecked and unverified. How is this anything but a gift-wrapped invitation for Hamas to resupply and strengthen?
And still, the madness doesn’t stop there. The first phase isn’t even the end—it’s just the beginning of negotiations. The second and third phases hinge on the same disastrous pattern: more hostages (maybe alive, maybe dead) for more prisoners, more territory, and more concessions. This deal is not just weak—it’s suicidal.
To the families of hostages who fought so hard for this, do you understand what you’ve done? The blood of every Israeli harmed or killed because of this agreement is on your hands. You pressured the government into a deal that doesn’t just make Israel weaker; it endangers every citizen in the country. For what? To celebrate the return of a few while empowering those who have sworn to kill the rest?
This is a nightmare—a betrayal of every principle Israel stands for, every sacrifice its people have made. And if this doesn’t wake us up to the danger of capitulating to terror, then nothing will. The world will watch as we set the stage for the next October 7, the next massacre, the next bloodbath. Because make no mistake—Hamas and every other terrorist group are taking notes. They see that terror works, and they’re ready to use this blueprint again and again.
the state of Israel has no principles...they would sell you and your family if it suited them.

DeleteI'm hoping that everything we've seen in the press so far is misinformation. Otherwise this medinat has no right to exist. Of course, sigh...we know everything is from Shamayim so if it goes this way, then I only weep for our lowly state in the eyes of HKBH that He will bring such a din on us.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is prudent to wait and see what happens with the proposed hostage exchange until we reach any conclusions. Personally, I don't like the deal but we do not know the real intentions of the parties to the deal, including what Trump is telling Netanyahu. Trump maybe telling Bibi to take the deal and, after he is inaugurated, Trump may have the US take military action against Hamas to obtain the remaining hostages. After all, the US is not a signor to this agreement.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very sensitive subject.
ReplyDeleteThere is no question regarding the Rebbe and his blessings. However, we cannot assume that the recipients were and are still trustworthy.
In Trump's speech to AIPAC some 8 years ago, he bragged that his book, "The Art of the Deal" was a best seller, stressing that both sides must come to the negotiating table with something to give and be prepared to compromise. He then claimed that Israel was willing and able, but the Fakestinians resisted every proposal for their own statehood. Therefore, Trump in order to satiate his ego and negotiate the expansion of the Abraham Accords is willing to throw Israel under the bus. He was very open to a two state solution. His vision was, is and will always be the "DEAL." He is obsessed.
To further expand this appeasement of satisfying the Saudis and other moderate Sunni nations, a Fakestinian State is definitely on the agenda. One only needs to realize that Trump's ME Envoy- Steven Witkoff who is currently pressuring Israel on this ridiculous and extremely dangerous ceasefire deal with Hamas and Trump's ME Advisor Massad Boulos are both proponents of a Two State Solution. BTW Massad Boulos is Tiffany Trump's father in law.
On the other hand, Netanyahu recently boasted that the ME was going to be transformed and redefined.
The warning bells first started when he became the PM of Israel during his first stint in 1997. Under his leadership Israel relinquished Chevron, Sh’chem, Beit Lechem, Nazeret and large swags of land in Yehudah v’Shomron. Not bad for a supposed right wing “hawk”…..and pigs will fly. Yes, I am quite heated about this argument and soon as you read on you will understand why.
Netanyahu's support for the expulsion plan from Gush Katif, known as the 2005 Gerush, was critical until the Sharon government had enough backers, allowing Netanyahu to vote against the programme after its execution was assured.
Netanyahu assured the New York-based Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) that he was willing to further the council’s agenda for the Middle East by supporting an Israeli retreat from Judea and Samaria. Netanyahu further claimed that all core issues could be discussed in direct negotiations, and that if it were up to him, a peace deal between Israel and the American-backed Palestinian Authority could of been signed by the end of 2011.
The CFR, based on New York City’s Upper East Side, is believed by many political analysts to be the most influential think tank in regards to United States foreign policy. Boasting a membership that includes some of the wealthiest Americans as well as senior officials in every presidential administration, the CFR is a major adherent of political globalization and has for decades been an aggressive promoter of an Israeli surrender of all lands won in the 1967 Six Day War.
cont....
While assuring the council that he is willing to carry out its demands, Netanyahu stressed that an accord with the PA would require a willing and able partner in PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. While he expressed a reluctance to criticize Abbas, Netanyahu said, “I tend to confound the critics and the skeptics, but I need a partner. You can’t go out on a trapeze, hold out your hand and not have a partner on the other side.”
ReplyDeleteDespite his general conciliatory message, Netanyahu also displayed some courage before the council, implying that he would not extend the American-imposed ban on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria at the time. He negated the position that extending the building freeze should be a precondition for direct negotiations and insisted that his government has already displayed a willingness to promote the council’s agenda of shrinking Israel.
A CFR man through and through. As he trumpeted when he became PM of Israel a second time, the solution to the Middle East crisis was commensurate on a trading block that would guarantee prosperity for all parties involved in determining economic reforms………a classic CFR line, wouldn’t you say?
The push for Bibi is for his superiors and handlers of his beloved Council. He was, is and will always be committed to their cause. He knows how to win political kudos and play the “all encompassing” card extremely well. Many Israelis are holding their breath waiting for Bibi to come good second time around. A futile exercise…. if you ask me.
…The Zohar (Mishpatim 120A) speaks about the “erev rav” before the Mashiach will come. It connects the verse “Binyamin is a wolf that devours,” to the “erev rav” that will control Am Yisrael before the Mashiach comes and says they will be like bad wolves that will eat the plenty of the Torah scholars who are like sheep. All this will only happen “in the morning will eat til,” similar to another verse, “til Shiloh (Mashiach) will come.” The rest of the verse, “and in evening will share the loot,” according to the Zohar, refers to the Geula, that shall be at Mincha time when Hashem will share the loot of the “erev rav” between Mashiach ben Yosef and Mashiach ben David. Rabbi Yosef Sheinberger, shlit”a, added that the Zohar implies that the head of the “erev rav” at the time when Moshiach comes will be named Binyamin. This was also the name of the establisher of these days’ “erev rav,” Binyamin Zev [Herzl], exactly like the verse says.
Political kudos to you Mr Bibi, the all encompassing……..Du Partzufim.

This agreement is an abomination. May Moshiach come now. May all of our people who want to return to Israel be able to do so now. Kayla
ReplyDeleteMy eldest son's childhood friend was a commander of a unit that fought in Gaza. He died there. He was shot in the head. A sweet, good boy, he became a nice young man, he was engaged to be married. Everyone liked him. There are 838 other stories like this. I'm fluctuating between heartbroken and infuriated.
ReplyDeleteSometimes appearances are deceiving. At times it's crucial that they be so in order to triumph in the end. Like when Yaakov "stole" the blessing from Eisav, and "deceived " his father.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this agreement that Trump is "pushing" Israel to make is one such instant. The Torah says that a person's name hints at his essence. What is the meaning of the word "to trump" ? Just a personal opinion, but I think Israel has not been abandoned, and that something much deeper is going on. Something the public is not privy to.

There is no need to overcomplicate this. It is absolutely forbidden to put one's faith in basar vedam.
ReplyDeleteI already commented here, passing on the message from a shiur, Trump can go either way, and Hashem decides the direction depending on us. From the same shiur, trusting in Trump instead of Hashem is delaying the geula. What is the geula after all, the revelation of Hashem's malchut over the whole world. So it stands to reason.

If that was the outcome for the illustrious Shlomo Hamelech's whose greatness was unfathomable to us, why do we think that anyone else would be able to do better?
The deal is making me very literally sick to my stomach. Amen to Kayla, Be'D Hashem will save us from ourselves before then and bring us the geula shleima now.

Not sure who wrote that comment, what is Afshani Emrani.....?
ReplyDeleteIn any case, the families of the hostages are not guilty but our 'leaders'. The families are acting under duress and are being exploited by the Left. It is up to the leaders to show leadership for all of Israel.
Trump is on Trump's side. He wants to go down in history as The Man who made The Deal. That's his motivation.
Regarding trying to get to the truth about Trump, imho, it's simply irrelevant, especially for those of us who have no political clout. Tamim tihiyu im Hashem Elokeicha. Once in a while we all have to take a reality check to see if we're on the right path, and not trying to get the facts to suit our narrative. It would have been better not to have bought into lock, stock and two smoking barrels, the messianic Trump narrative in the first place. The whole discussion about his doubles, as I understood it, was to prove that anything Trump said that didn't fit in with "messianic Trump" could be discredited.
Jews should focus on the ikar and do what is in the power of each of us to hasten the geula. And not make gds of any flesh and blood.
Hitoreri
To Hitoreri, I think it's judgmental to go along with the repetitive refrain of the libs that Trump is selfish. He has done plenty of good in his life, such as in Israel, and pardoning Rubashkin. What he is, is ADHD (refer to the psychologist who authored a book about that). His sons keep emphasizing that their dad didn't really need this job, which cost him so much aggravation. Rather, its because he really wanted to MAGA. So can't you try to view him more multi-dimensionally?
DeleteAfshani Emrani is someone I follow, he's a cardiologist in L.A.
ReplyDeleteThe very concept of making a deal is a serious mistake. Israel should be dictating terms of surrender to Hamas. The 'civilian' population get to live, and to be transferred far away, and Hamas to be executed, including all prisoners in Israel. Hefty financial reward and a passport to a western country for anyone who gives us a living hostage. Twenty times less for chalila a body. Aza should be annexed to Israel and the land given to soldiers and their families to settle or develop as they wish. This should be the goal.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to the fallen soldiers, let's remember at least 12,000 horribly injured soldiers. Young men, blinded, lost limbs, stomach bags etc, all those with PTSD etc, and their families, and the families that will never be founded. Hashem yishmor.
Hitoreri
Correct!
DeleteAnd it's against the Torah to make deals like this!
DeleteI couldn't have said this better Hitoreri.
If Trump was in any way concerned for Israel, this would have been the deal he laid on the table....an ultimatum. He is just another enemy of Am Yisroel and he has showed his true face. Anything further down the line that benefits Israel is accidental on his part....he has shown what he really thinks of us and how we can be manipulated, used and bullied.

This is the Obama Biden deal, Trump is not in office yet. He said all hostages must be released, not just some of them. All hostages will NOT have been released by the time he is President, so let's see what transpires then. I have not yet completely given up hope, the darkest hours come before the dawn.
ReplyDeleteTrump and Biden both claim credit for Gaza ceasefire deal
DeleteWASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump are both claiming credit for Israel and Hamas agreeing to a ceasefire deal in Gaza after the White House brought Trump’s Middle East envoy into negotiations that have dragged on for months.
Trump wasted no time in asserting he was the moving force behind the deal, whose final details were still being ironed out, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
“This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,” Trump wrote on social media. “I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones.”
OK. So going back 15 years to a dream I had, before Trump was anything at all, we didn't know anything about him..... I was shown an image of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with a mini tornado over it, and in the bottom left hand corner was a collapsed Trump dressed as a clown. I did not understand that vision, but I have never forgotten it.
DeleteI think it's very relevant to what is happening now.
I have had these kind of visions before, they always come true, but that's the first time it's been something relating to world events rather than to my own personal life.
His representative (who is Trumps longtime pal and also has quatari business partners ) yimach shemam was there pushing this deal through. He shlepped Bibi out on Shabbat, spoke to him with incredible disrespect and aggressiveness.
DeleteThis is Trumps doing whether you want to accept it or not
Did you guys read what Dov bar Leib wrote about this deal?
ReplyDelete" My original thought that this deal is meant to circumvent nasty things that ObamaBiden have planned for these last few days is essentially correct. But it is worse. This deal is Obama's. Witkoff came to push it in order to outwit ObamaBiden Yimech Shmo"
"This is 75% of what is going on. Witkoff and Netanyahu planned a strategy last Shabbat to essentially tweak what Obama or whoever is the puppeteer of Biden were proposing ANYWAY, to get out ahead of the 8 ball or the cue ball."

Devorah
So a few days ago at Jimmy Carter's funeral, Obama and Trump were very friendly, sitting next to each other, Trump was asked about it.... he said yes it did appear they were very friendly. They were discussing something about meeting up to sort it out. I'm guessing this was about Israel.
ReplyDeleteSo Trump has definitely been part of this - together with Obama - someone who up until now he has openly hated since Obama publicly mocked him at the Correspondents Dinner and it was after that incident that Trump decided to run for the Presidency.
Conspiracy sites are saying there is no difference between Trump and BIden, they're all on the same team.
Everyone's been fooled.
But we still don't know what's coming, and we still don't know if Trump is out-witting everyone with this charade.
Trump is supposed to be assisting in bringing Moshiach, and maybe this how it plays out, and only G-d knows what's really going on.
On the topic of Trump hobnobbing w/Obama, I always find it somewhat hysterical the way people analyze Trump, whereas if they'd look at it from the angle of his ADHD they'd realize more what he's about. I know a woman who's exactly like Trump. Just like him, she lacks the sensitivity to instinctively shy away from odious people, and by the same token, she likewise lacks sensitivity to avoid lashing out at sensitive people. The horrible part is, that because she's so "all-encompassing" she tends to gather all these disparate types of people together in a coffee klatch, and expect them to casually chill out with each other. This can get very uncomfortable! (Also remember the way Trump shocked Schumer & Pelosi, by inviting them for an interview broadcast to the public, and put them thru the wringer in public? That's how she operates too. All this is classic ADHD impulsivity. There are many video's on the topic of ADHD which can be eye-opening to an understanding of Trump.
DeleteThe last two pesukim of this week's parsha teach two very important points that seem very relevant to this deal: (1) For Klal Yisrael, it is darkest immediately before the dawn of Geulah; (2) Hashem has his ways of bringing that Geulah that are incomprehensible to even the greatest of men (Moshe Rabbeinu).
ReplyDeleteArabs in Aza are jubilant and celebrating.
ReplyDeleteJews are disgusted and depressed.
That sums this 'deal' up.
'Trump is supposed to be assisting in bringing Moshiach'. As far as I'm aware, this is the idea of one rav only.
Otoh, many rabbonim, gedolim and tsadikim have told us explicitly what will hasten the geula.
It's the ikar and you ignore it, even amongst the rabbonim that you yourself post: Rav Anava, Rav Brody, the Yanuka, Rav Shaya, Ari Goldwag. In Rav Anava's shiur just before chanuka he spoke about it.
Now is the time. Rav Yaakov Maor said that next the banks in chutz la'aretz will collapse.
Hitoreri
You continually accuse me of things that are out of my control, I don't ignore anything, people can only do as much as possible, if you cannot make aliyah, then you cannot make aliyah, and no amount of rabbis talking will change that. As far as I'm aware, yearning to live in Israel with Geula is not exactly ignoring things.
DeleteI don't doubt that banks will collapse, no money needed when Moshiach is here.
There won't be a penny in the pocket as the Talmud says.
Trying to scare people doesn't help because those who are stuck in the diaspora are still stuck there only now they have fear. Fear is not something we need to have, and you don't need to keep pounding that issue and judging me and everyone else. Who made you the Judge of the World ?
Devorah, i too have been countless times disillusioned by all those in their ivory towers in E"Y lecturing chutznikim, never taking into account the efforts some of us made, and the situations we're in.

ReplyDelete·
Some thoughts on the Hostage Deal:
Nature of the Deal: This is strictly a hostage release deal, not an end-of-war agreement.
Phase I involves the release of 33 hostages, but uncertainty remains about how many are still alive—some estimates suggest only 23.
Temporary Ceasefire: The ceasefire accompanying the deal is almost certainly temporary. It facilitates hostage release but does not indicate any permanent resolution.
Phase II, which could involve further negotiations, is highly improbable due to Hamas's refusal to disarm, agree to exile, or meet other conditions.
Israel’s Strategic Position: Israel retains military control over the Philadelphi Corridor, ensuring no compromise to its security strategy along the Gaza-Egypt border.
Hostage Return: The return of some hostages alive is a significant humanitarian victory amidst severe constraints. The deal reflects Hamas's intransigence and the urgency to act, given the deteriorating health of the hostages.
Conflict Continuation: The broader conflict remains unresolved. Both the Israeli government and members of the Trump administration affirm their commitment to eliminating Hamas's control over Gaza. This deal underscores the strategic focus on humanitarian relief without compromising long-term goals.
Diplomatic Contrast: The Trump team likely emphasized practical negotiation, dismissing aspirations for a permanent ceasefire that may have been a priority for the Biden administration. This pragmatic approach highlights the complex balance between immediate relief and enduring security concerns.
Moral and Strategic Costs: While the release of hostages is a source of immense joy for their families, the cost of the deal is significant: the release of 400 terrorists, including murderers, back to Gaza, Judea, and Samaria. Such compromises raise questions about long-term security risks and the broader implications for the region.
Again- I don't pretend to understand the back story but this is ongoing and complicated and NOT what I would have expected from Trump and Netanyahu.
I've a hunch Trump has a direct line of communication to G-d and often acts on that. Not just that, see how the BLM founder lost two of her mansions to the Palisades Fire. She had bought them with funds that should have gone toward the "cause", and many were indignantly saying that's G-d's poetic justice. So similarly, with the hostage deal, there may be some deeper reasons why G-d is allowing it to play out this way.
Deletedevorah you summarised this disaster perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI think you mean the quote from Afshine Emrani, strange name but he is a cardiologist in L.A.
DeleteI did not write this. But I've cut and pasted....
ReplyDeletePrediction. Since October 7th, nothing has shocked me—until now. Either Trump is not who we thought he was, or we’re about to find out why this seemingly catastrophic deal was made.
My gut says this: Trump is laser-focused on getting the hostages home, but what follows will rewrite the playbook on the Middle East. Hamas, Hezbollah, and the jihadists won’t know what hit them.
Nobody’s talking about it, but here’s my mental model: America, under Trump, is about to debut game-changing military strategies. Expect the unexpected.
I really hope you're right. But logic dictates otherwise. My feeling is that we all need to stop looking at Trump or Bibi as a source of help and look to Hashem and beg for protection.
DeleteEven if this is some special strategy they (Trump and Bibi)are employing, (strongly doubt it though)......how many precious soldiers, the best and most heroic of Am Yisroel, gave their lives to capture those bloodthirsty murderers we are now releasing. It doesn't matter which country they are released to - they will find a way back into Gaza.
Next point, while I am anguished for the hostages and their plight.....they are releasing future Yaya Sinwars and we know how that turned out.
CSF
That was someone else's opinion which i cut and pasted because I kind of agreed with it, but ultimately I don't know what will happen next.
DeleteI can't speak for anyone else, but I have never "put my faith" in Trump... my faith has always been in Hashem, and I saw Trump as a tool that Hashem was using to achieve certain goals. There is still a big question mark for me over the whole thing, I don't understand any of it, and I'm just waiting to see how it all plays out.
Devorah - quoting from your comment “I’m just waiting to see how it all plays out” is how we all should feel - we each have our own opinions and opinions on whatever anyone else has either agreed with or not - at the end of the day (no pun intended) Hashem has planned his world as you say
ReplyDeleteBiden strong-armed Bibi into this disastrous deal, and Bibi caved—for now. Just until Trump’s inauguration. A few hostages might be freed, but let’s be real: Hamas never sticks to their word. When they break the deal—and they will—Trump is going to bring the firestorm they’ve been begging for. Buckle up. This is NOT the end.
ReplyDeleteThe Time of the Shepherds
ReplyDeleteIs this the time of the Shepherds we seek,
For long, we've heard their promises weak,
False hope they bring, a hard road ahead,
Yet no relief, only despair we are fed.
The enemy's path, they clear with ease,
While Rachel weeps upon her knees,
Her children lost, no more to be,
A sorrowful gaze on eternity.
Through valleys dark and shadows deep,
The Shepherds lead, while still we weep,
Their words like whispers, promises fade,
In the light of dawn, our spirits are betrayed.
But still, we hope, and still we yearn,
For true relief, for joy's return,
For Shepherds true, who guide with grace,
To bring us to a safer place.
So let us not in darkness dwell,
For hope, like light, can break the spell,
And Rachel's tears, like rain, shall cease,
When Shepherds come to bring us peace.
