Hail from today's storm baseball size with spikes |
We just had the most electric, violent, awe-inspiring storm anyone has ever seen here.
Strobe lighting went on forever.... horizontal lightning close to the roofs of the houses I could see, splitting the sky into technicolor orange shapes.
Then the flashing white lightning, lit up the entire sky, it was so bright it was like the Ohr Ganuz, that also went on forever. The thunder was so loud it felt like it took the roof off the house.
It was apocalyptic and everyone is still in shock [except me, because I loved it]. It felt and sounded like a war zone.
The purple is the actual colour, nothing has been manipulated in any of these.
Of course Tik Tok has gone crazy with the storm videos, here's a few I found.
Strobe lightning
People are dancing in the streets to Michael Jackson's "What About Us" - female dancing in the rain.
WOW! H' has given you a zechut to see such a Biblical view
ReplyDeleteof His Mighty Forces of Nature! It is a forerunner to what's to
come! May we all greet Moshiach k'heref ayin with great
chesed and rachamim.
yiddel
You said it Moshe.
ReplyDeleteWe're about to experience Round 2. Everything's gone black outside as the wind picks up.
My internet is going on and off. If I disappear, it's because of the storm.
OMG!! It's amazing that those who are expecting something 'Great' to come are excited about such fierce storms while others are terrified.
ReplyDeleteSGK
People who know me were messaging me, saying now they think I"m right..... it really does seem like the End of Days. It definitely woke them up !
ReplyDeleteThe non-stop strobe lighting, which went on for about half an hour at least.... it's like a warning, like a torch running out of batteries, just sky flashing with no sound. I sat and watched it, loving it all.
ReplyDeleteThis is for all the antisemitism Australia is experiencing
ReplyDeleteYears ago I once read that a rabbi said that Australia will never experience antisemitism I forgot the details but at that time it was true. Now not so much Malky
ReplyDeleteThat's a very strange thing for a rabbi to say, esp considering we have a lot of neo nazis living here I'm sorry to say. Plus we have a moronic Prime Minister at the moment, he'll be gone soon IY"H when we have elections, he has a terrible attitude towards Israel.
ReplyDeleteVery cute button cookies.
DeleteWe just had a really bad anti semitic attack, police and camera crews everywhere this morning. It's been fueled by the media. Australians have been watching Gazans being bombed for the past 15 months, that's what they see every night on TV. Babies and children and women crying. Because they never saw the original attack on Oct 7 which lead to this war, they have no context to put this into. Most Australians have never met a real orthodox Jew, they don't know anything about Judaism. But social media has gone wild with "genocide" claims etc and ignorant people are just jumping on the anti-semitic bandwagon.
Wow. So then why would Rav M. Salomon have said that? (I mean, the above Malky just confirmed what I remember my niece's husband quoting from the Rav). I'm sorry about the fright you've had! Its horrifying how social media has gotten so out-of-hand, and a huge generation of young (and not-so-young) people have become programmed punks incapable of critical thinking. They are all so anathema to my way of thinking, that i get dizzy any time I try plowing thru any of their chit-chat, so I mostly don't. I don't know how others are able to. I'm over the hill.
DeleteWhen did he say it? Was it a long time ago or recently?
DeleteHe looks like a very holy man.
what’s with the lady dancing in the rain?
ReplyDeleteI just liked her energy. That's something I would have done if I was her age.
DeleteI actually remember walking home one Shabbas during a hot summer downpour and loving every minute of it.
Maybe to add some context, the flashing purple and white lightning was like being in a disco. So if G-d provided the backdrop, why not dance in the rain?
DeleteAnd what is the meaning of the fact that the weather in Israel is so calm, sunny, beautiful temperatures not hot and not cold? I know we need rain ...... but it is just so nice, I feel a bit guilty to be enjoying it so much.
ReplyDeleteGershon
Enjoy it. We are mid-summer and I'm wearing a winter jacket.
DeleteExpecting more storms tonight and onwards.
I love storms, esp if they're like this one. So no complaints from me.
"Signs in the sky"?
ReplyDelete"In a few days, Earth will witness a rare event straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Imagine gazing up at the night sky and spotting a second moon gracefully orbiting our planet, even if just for a short while. This extraordinary event is set to become reality in the coming days as a small asteroid prepares to join Earth’s celestial dance, creating a spectacle that feels like something straight out of a science fiction novel.
Earlier this year, the ATLAS (Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System), funded by NASA, detected a tiny asteroid named 2024 PT5. Originating from the Arjuna asteroid belt, which orbits the Sun, this asteroid is on a unique path that will bring it into a temporary orbit around Earth for about two months. Scientists from the Complutense University of Madrid have meticulously tracked its journey over the past three weeks, confirming that 2024 PT5 will become a fleeting companion to our planet."
