I live here, and I have never felt the coming Simcha more than I do right now. I live in one of those settlements. And I am laughing because I know that G-d is laughing. How can one feel bad when one sees Europe with a German Pope and an Italian Central banker. L'Chaim! Then Sarkozy and Obama vie for being the chief hater of Netanyahu before an open microphone. And Netanyahu summarily cancels planned expulsions of Givat Assaf and Migron. If this keeps up that is worth another LeChaim! One just has to wonder which angel was sent to turn on the mike! All I can say is just stay sober until Purim because there are probably multiple more LeChaims on the way. Since it is the rise of MBY, HaShem has to maintain plausible deniability so that we can maintain our free will throughout. That is also worth a LeChaim too. This Purimspiel will dwarf the original Purimspiel of Mordechai and Esther. It will likely climax on Purim, and we will all celebrate on Shushan Purim even in unwalled cities because one of Yehoshua bin Nun's descendants from Yehoshua's daughters will make it possible!

And now, even more than previously, obuma's regime is baring its teeth at israel. Panetta tells Israel to come to the "damn" table with the PLO, the liberal Politico tries to "spin" a tale Israelis are starting to "like" the creep in the White House; with little "kristallnachts" being perptrated in NY and NJ; with the "Wall St. occupiers" overtly anti-semitic; with pan-Arab/Moslem's hate momentum rising, ...
why it's Moshiach's times, I bet. After all, we are being backed into a corner from all sides, so the last battle against all of this evil is soon due. In fact, long overdue!

In the Vanguard: Hip Hip Hurray! And I am well armed with a Tehillim and a baseball bat. I hope to use the former over the latter.

I think the phrase Hip Hip Hooray was coined by Hitler yemach shemo, did you know what? I was taught to never say it for that reason.

Anon: Really? just learned something else new today. Are Hip and Hurray German? I took Classic High German for two years in college. I learned to read the works of Einstein and other physicists in their original German (well at least I tried to do this), and I do not remember this. I also read a couple plays by Bertolt Brecht. My favorite one that I waded through was "Mutter Courage Und Ihre Kinder" I have forgotten enough German since then that I probably got that one wrong. Perhaps Hip and Hurray are words from an ancient Aryan tongue such as Pharsi (Persian). I have and had no idea.

Interesting....

Actually, its origins are much darker than that. Originally it was "HEP" - an acronym for the Latin "Herusalem est pulta", Jerusalem has fallen. This phrase was used at what later became known as the "hep hep" rallies, proto-Nazi gatherings really, as a way of announcing victory against the Jewish people.

So now I know why the Spanish pronounce Yoshke's name with an H. It is Latin to pronounce the Yud as an H.

This video seems to be republican advertising. The democrat and republican parties both do not stand up for Israel. “For the Palestinian people, the only path to independence and dignity and progress is the path of democracy.” That is a quote from President Bush .His call for democracy in the mideast has given birth to the upheavals of Arab spring. President Bush recognized the terrorist organization Fatah, which also never recognized Israel and its leader who was Abbas himself has expressed pride in training Hezbollah terrorists. President Bush said "There should be an end to the occupation that began in 1967.The agreement must establish Palestine as a homeland for the Palestinian people, just as Israel is a homeland for the Jewish people." President Bush refused to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. And no president has pardoned Jonathan Pollard. Israel has to stand up for itself and stop coming to negotiating tables It has to declare that it has a G-d given right to protect itself with defensible borders and that the land it captured in 1967 is not "territories" but a part of Israel mamash. The promises of the republicans and democrats cannot be relied on.

President Bush, President Bush, President Bush? Give it a rest! Obama is our President today. Liberals, if you want to be specific are anti - Jew more than conservatives are. Leave Democrat/ Republican out of it. Conservatives support Israel. At my little Orthodox shul they want a rabbi who supports New Israel Fund and JStreet.. a liberal rabbi who protested and signed a petition against the rabbis who said not to sell houses to our enemies. Conservative Jews have no problem pointing out the enemy or the truth. The left want to be fair - they see it as a "civil rights " issue not as an existential threat issue. And that is what Israel faces from the world and groups like Peace Now and ALL THE OTHERS supported by Europe and other LIBERAL GROUPS pose a threat by pressuring Israel to make peace with those who want to slit her throat...NOT conservatives...
