Synopsis of this shiur:
The Zohar: Page 18/b - 19/a - Parashat Vayikra When G-d created us, he created us perfect, when we sin, we damage our perfection and bring on us a spirit of impurity. When G-d created Adam and Chava they were one body. Came another female who is the mother of all demons and evil spirits and her name is Li-Li-t (We DO NOT say her name) and at that time a thousand spirits without bodies came and stood around Adams spiritless body, all wanted to enter Adams body. When Li-Li saw that it was Chava (who’s original name was Chaya) was chosen to be Adams wife (other half) she ran away and hid in the depth of the oceans and is here to harm us human beings All this and MUCH more is this class!

In the absence of any other contenders at this time, R.Anava may well be a candidate for being 'The Man': Moshiach has to be fluent in Hebrew and English, has to have suffered in jail, has to have had a near death experience, has to be a BT, has to reveal himself in Tzfat, has to have charisma, has to teach Zohar, has to make people feel good in his presence etc etc!
If I make a correction in what you wrote... the words “came another female” implies that she wasn’t created by ha Kadosh Baruch Hu, Chas ve chalila... a concept of other religions.
I have met Rabbi Anava many times in person and he has said that it it likely that Moshiach doesn't yet know he is Moshiach. I have often wondered if it could be him. The prospect excites me to no end.
I think he has a good heart also. just wish he would expound on the true kochav Yaakov and when it came according to the Rashbi and not the bunk about this "niburu" stuff. IMO
With an Australian Ashkenazic mother and a Lebanese Sefardic father, Anava is half/half like the Arizal, so he would be acceptable to all. Although he studied in Chabad, he now calls himself "independent", and he is right-wing - but more subtle than Kahane.
In the merit of the study of this book - the book of the Zohar - the Jewish People will leave the Exile in a merciful manner. [parashat Naso, 124b] See: http://www.chabad.org/kabbalah/article_cdo/aid/380639/jewish/The-Need-to-Learn-Kabbalah.htm
I dont know about the comments above. But, when I mention Alon Anova and what he says, to my kids, they smirk and say: "Mommy is referring to Eliyohu Hanov....:) (note: they sound similar)
Very interesting and informative. At the end where he speaks of 'that feminine evil demon', we can see that in these days with the feminist movement and their growing power. Beautiful how everything, literally everything, can be learned from our Torah which is Divine!
Rabbi Efraim Palvanov What is the significance of recent seismic events in Syria and Damascus? What might we expect for the region in light ...

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I haven't heard that Moshiach needs to have had a near death experience, but agree with you on all the other points.

I didn't write that, it's from Rabbi Anava's synopsis, probably just his english way of speaking. He speaks many languages.

If your comment has not been published it is because it contained some form of lashon hara, or another contentious issue not suitable for this blog.
