One HUGE mistake. He says Moshiach can come anytime until 6000. The Zohar, who is the authority on Kabbalah says techiyas hameisim has to start, the latest, by 210 or 214 years (5786/5790) before the year 6000, which is then considered Olam Habah. If anyone really believes this insane world can continue without Moshiach for another 217 years, I have a bridge to sell them.

I feel that these rabbis not mentioning the earlier arrival prior to 6000 is due to the fact that they are not learned in kabbalah/chassidus, they just learn the basic Torah [if there is such a thing]. This is why I much prefer Rabbis who are also speaking with knowledge of the esoteric side of things.

Where in the zohar does it say this?

Where does it say what? About Moshiach coming earlier?

The Lubavitcher Rebbe explained it, and many others... each day is 1,ooo years, and we are currently at approx 12.47pm on the cosmic clock on Friday afternoon. Just like we can bring Shabbat in earlier, Moshiach can come any time now and start the Shabbat of Geula.

I found something interesting in the zohar vayechel.

493. Rabbi Shimon said, at that time when the dead of the world will arise and prepare themselves to go to the Holy Land, troops upon troops shall rise upon the land of the Galilee. For there King Messiah is destined to be revealed, as this is the portion of Joseph, and the place where they were first broken and whence they were exiled from their habitations to be dispersed among the nations as said "but they are not grieved for the ruin of Joseph" (Amos 6:6).

494. Why shall THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO RESURRECT awaken there? Because it is the heritage of him who was put in the ark, as is written: "and he was put in a coffin (also: ark) in Egypt" (Beresheet 50:26). After that he was buried in the Holy Land, as was written: "And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Yisrael brought up out of Egypt, they buried in Shchem" (Yehoshua 24:32). And he, JOSEPH, kept the covenant more than all THE TRIBES.

495. At that time, when all the troops shall rise UPON THE LAND OF THE GALILEE, they shall all return each to his ancestors' inheritance as is written: "and you shall return every man to his possession" (Vayikra 25:10), and everybody will recognize each other. The Holy One, blessed be He, will give each and every one embroidered garments. And all will come and praise their Master in Jerusalem, where multitude will assemble, and Jerusalem shall extend on all sides, more than it expanded when they assembled when returned from the exile.

This is the second place in the zohar that the land of galilee is associated is Joseph . Why should the galilee be associated with Joseph at all ? Wasnt josephs land in shomron? Naphtali and zevulun and asher owned the galilee not joseph

Vayeara 478. In the year 66, the King Messiah will appear in the land of Galilee, AND HE IS CALLED MESSIAH BEN JOSEPH; HE WILL THEREFORE APPEAR IN THE GALILEE, IN THE POSSESSION OF JOSEPH. A star from the east will swallow up seven stars from the north, and a flame of black fire will be suspended from the heavens for sixty days. Wars will be begun in the world from the north, and two kings will fall in these wars.

This is the other place shimon. Bar yochai clearly associates the galilee with the land of joseph . Is he suggesting shechem was actually in galilee?

It would be a nice suprise if we found out Meron was actually Shechem and this is why Rashbi is buried there with Joseph.

Yaak, thanks for clarifying that.
Other rabbis seem to imply it's a given fact, but obviously it's not.
Maybe ... since it's accepted by so many that's become the truth, it's another reason for Hashem to give us Geula now.

I heard we r not really allowed to talk about the ETA of moshiach except when it comes close to the actual time moshiach is going to come. At that time we can and must , talk and expect moshiach to come any day now. I heard even kids will sort of know that he is coming very soon. In a prophetic way. All of us talking this way brings him closer. Like it says the generation that calls out for moshiach will be the one he comes in.

The rav says very clearly that we have to not only expect, but anticipate Moshiach's arrival every single day, from the Rambam's 13 Principles of Faith. He doesn't say that Moshiach won't come before the year 6000, the opposite, he talks about achisheina.

For yaak, one of the signs of Moshiach coming is societal breakdown. In addition to everything else that is happening, the most basic constituent of creation, zachar oonekeiva bara otam, is under attack. This is I believe has never happened before.

Tbh, I regret sharing the link, as I found one of two of the comments disrespectful.

I only listen to Rabbis that live in Israel.

I have watched many lectures on the topic about the Zohar and Leshem’s prediction and have never heard of the explanation Yaak gave, so I will respectfully disagree. I’ve been taught that the Zohar and Leshem were very straight forward about techiyas hameisim starting at the latest by 210 or 214 years before the year 6000 (the beginning of Olam Habah).

For those looking for a very reliable source- Zohar (Midrash Ne'elam - Toldot 140a), and the "Leshem Shevo v'Achlamah"(Drushei Olam HaTohu, 2:4:12:9-12) -- that suggest that the time of Techiyas Hameisim will begin no later than 210 years in advance of Year 6000!

Moshiach is so close!

I wonder if there is a connection between the 210 years we were in Egypt. Maybe because of that time it was reduced from the 6000

I remember when I did Brit for my second son , I asked Rav Yisroel Belsky Shlita(the Rosh HaYeshiva Tora Vadaas, and the head of OU) to be a Sandak. After Brit, at the Seuda he said that this is the example (the Brit) of Tehiat Hametim. I wanted ask him what he meant but I was so busy that day that I forgot to ask.

Yaak & others, the signs that we have now have never been before. Today, we even see the severe breakdown of normality (like before the Great Flood). Never again after the Flood was there this insane breakdown worldwide!
And it is a given that techiyat hameitim must begin 210-214 years before the year 6000. We are in such a state that even non-Jews feel the difference between this era and those from the past and think that we are truly in the end days. Also, never has the world become just one global state of evil ruled by some over the billions of people. True, that the righteous (our forefathers and ancestors) will arise first, but the idea that it might have been already in the 5400's is ludricous, because all who arise will be alive and well and that must first begin from hereon. We pray that once the resurrection starts, it will not take too long, so all will come back to their families to enjoy the bliss that is promised to us. Think good and it will be good.
Besides, all of the above written here, how can the world continue on when every day we see it going downhill furtheer; humanity will not be able to survive.
Also, as one of the Anon commenters wrote about MBY coming from the Galil; he will be the one fighting our wars, leading up to the coming of MBD.
Praying for Moshiach to come in a blink of an eye, Now!

Anon @ 10.11 - I thought those 210 years were the desert years as well.
I learned that somewhere, I definitely didn't make it up.

Please everyone, pick a name and use it for your comments, it would make life much easier.

I read that the satan will be very powerful right before moshiach comes and Hashem destroys him All these years I thought it meant the Internet. But now we see how the elites worship the devil and satanism is all over so we know it’s now basically the end. Malky

Devorah said...

Yes Malky I agree, who could have ever imagined the things going on today.

Mind boggling to me how anyone can give a lecture about Moshiach and say it can come anytime until the heat 6000. One would have to be blind to realize it’s impossible for the world to continue this way much longer. It really does make a lot of sense that the Zohar and Leshem say that Techiyas Hameisim will start by 5786 or 5790 the very latest. I hold by the Zohar , as every Jew should. We didn’t just celebrate lag ba’omer for nothing. The Zohar is the authority on Kabalah and was very clear about what he wrote. This means Moshiach must arrive at any moment now, and we can see that it has to happen as the world fell apart and became so corrupt. There has never been a time in history where so many worldwide were anticipating Moshiach as now. It’s delusional to think it can come in 100 years. Read all the news. It’s Sodom and Amorah out there. Now is the time for the Geulah and very soon will be the time for Techiyas Hameisim! Trust all the prophecies that are now fulfilled in front of our eyes and Trust the Zohar HaKadosh!!

Amen Elisheva!
Yes, as we get closer and closer to Moshiach's arrival, we can see the breakdown of society even more clearly.
The world has become like a womb that is close to delivering a baby or is a little past due. The conditions of the womb are deteriorating because those materials will not be useful for the baby and must be eliminated.
Moshiach's arrival literally is imminent.
Shwuab wants agenda 2030. Well, guess what?
Hashem is above all of that. It blows me away that he is planning for us to be slaves via agenda this and agenda that and the wef and the who, yet, none of these finite beings even bothered to ponder that what they're really trying to do is replace G-d because they think they're better and know better for the world.
Think about how ignorant they really are. truly dumbfounding. Migdal Bavel all over again. Yes, seriously. Really. truly evil.
We, as yidden, must engage in Torah study, mitzvos, gemilut chessed, and, all of this must be done in an effort to come close to Hashem and help our fellow man.
The way the world is going, we don't have hundreds of years left. Make no mistake on this. They're literally loading up the weapons as we speak....
Not on the legs of man do I rely, yet, only on my Father in Heaven.
Shabbat shalom u'mevorach.

Maybe, but there are too many disrespectful comments they are an isur de'oreita, writing like that about a rav. There are ways to express oneself whilst being respectful.

I am very wary now to post any shiurim any more.
