Yes, The reason is as the Rabbi states because Yishmael was circumcized but at the age of 13 which they still uphold till now, so H' allowed them to have control over EY for the 1300 years and because their religion does not allow statues of any kind and they worship the One G-D.
Question please…. When the 12 spies went into Israel and brought back the huge fruit… were there people living there that merited the Land being so blessed with such big fruit? Were there descendants from Abraham somehow there also along with those that needed to leave, and they were the ones there that merited such blessed fruit?

To Anon @ 1:34 pm - you can be sure they were not worthy of anything.
These were the Canaanites that H' had commanded Yehoshua Bin Nunn to eradicate for their complete evil. There were giants, but the Land itself was so holy, so it would make sense that it gave forth the best of the fruit, and maybe all in preparation for their upcoming true Landowners, the nation of Israel, whom G-D had chosen.
