Moshiach Moshiach Moshiach

It says somewhere that when Moshiach is close, even the children will know, it will be obvious.

Some of the headlines right now are screaming ''obvious''.  [HT: My friends Rivka  and Sherry for all these headlines]

Well, my 11 year old told me he dreamed last night that the Kineret was full, the Beit Hamikdash came down from the sky, we all walked there by foot and since he's a kohen, he received special clothes and started serving in the Beit Hamikdash. So, the kids are dreaming it!

Awesome story to share, Miriam! I dreamt months ago that I was on the top of the Temple Mount and there was a temporary White tent is structure with the various courtyards and the Dome was gone. I woke up with such joy thinking that the Beis Hamikdash would soon be there.
May your child’s dream come true soon!

Rebbe Shimon bar Yochai says the following:
וְכַד יְהֵא קָרִיב לְיוֹמֵי מְשִׁיחָא אֲפִילּוּ רַבְיֵי דְעַלְמָא זְמִינִין לְאַשְׁכָּחָא טְמִירִין דְּחָכְמְתָא וּלְמִנְדַע בֵּיהּ קִצִּין וְחוּשְׁבְּנִין, וּבְהַהוּא זִמְנָא אִתְגַּלְּיָא לְכֹלָּא

Hebrew translation:
וְכַד יְהֵא קָרִיב לְיוֹמֵי מְשִׁיחָא אֲפִילּוּ רַבְיֵי דְעַלְמָא זְמִינִין לְאַשְׁכָּחָא טְמִירִין דְּחָכְמְתָא וּלְמִנְדַע בֵּיהּ קִצִּין וְחוּשְׁבְּנִין, וּבְהַהוּא זִמְנָא אִתְגַּלְּיָא לְכֹלָּא, when the days of the Messiah approach, even children will be able to discover secrets of wisdom and through them can calculate the end of time, then it will be revealed to all [Zohar volume 1, Parshas Vayeira, page 118a (http://bit.ly/2IUeiPJ)].

P.S. How do you hyperlink in the comments?

In none of the sites, is this story of the Pope asking his people to obeserve shabbat recently. It may be news from years back..

can anyone give the real piece of news, other than jewish sites and papers???
Or is this blog now doing news, that is really not true... Hope not...

Hyperlink is by using html, I cut and paste from my blog template html because I am not an IT person.

Anonymous @ 9:11, if you click on the links attached to those headlines you will see that the news of the Pope is current, one dated 17 March and the other dated yesterday I think. I can't help it if no-one else is talking about it yet.

We do not have to have the approval or anything else from other religions. The Shabbat is, was and always will be the Day of Rest for the Bnai Yisrael and we shall rejoice when every Jew adheres to this most basic and important Commandment from H' to His people, Bnai/Am Yisrael!

I've only read the headlines, but why would the Pope call to observe Shabbat? That doesn't make any sense from a Christian perspective. And why would a Rabbi be excited about it? Who cares what the head of the Catholic Church calls for. Does it affect us in any way? Do we need to look to Christian authorities for anything?

No we don't need the Pope's opinion, but it's one of those things that make you realize we are living in the days before Moshiach, when even the Pope says something like this. Why would he do it? Perhaps he's seen the light, who knows...

The video about the Pope supposedly telling the world to keep Shabbat is taken way out of context. First of all, he made the comments at least 2 years ago. Do a little googling and you'll discover this fact. Second, all he says is that as the Jews keep the 7th day as Shabbat, and they've been doing that all along, everybody should take this as a good example to follow and rest at least one day a week. He is not telling people, especially his Catholic followers, to switch from observing Sunday to Saturday. And finally, keep in mind, please, that when a Catholic considers what day is the 7th day of the week, it is not Saturday, rather it is Sunday. And that's what they call the Sabbath. It's really a shame that Jewish websites began writing articles and promoting these videos to suggest that the Pope is saying something he wasn't saying

I'll believe you Hoshea, all I saw was the latest news in the links I published. Sorry if I misled anyone I thought it was something that just happened. Never mind, his opinion doesn't matter much either way.

I have now removed the Pope links.

Thanks, Devorah.
Just to be clear, I did not have in mind your blog as one of the websites that was promoting this. I was referring to popular Jewish 'news' websites. I won't name them.
But thanks for removing the link.
Good shabbes!!!!

No worries Hoshea. In this case, I was also mislead. I guess that's what happens when you blog too early in the morning !! Thanks for bringing it to my attention and letting me know that it was a two year old story, otherwise I would not have known. I know that an Anonymous did accuse me of spreading false news, but that comment was not helpful, as I checked the dates of the links and they were current. There are good and bad ways of letting someone know they have made a mistake, and I guess you did it the right way. Thank you again.

This really happened to me.

About five weeks ago one morning just outside the Kiryat Gat train station by my home on the way to work in Tel Aviv, I was on my scooter when, just as a man passed by, I saw a small orange piece of paper which looked like money. I skidded to a stop. It was a 100 shekel note (about $30), folded in half twice.

Eight or nine days later (I think eight, but not 100% sure), I was in the Kirya in Tel Aviv checking on some packages at the post office near work. On my way out of the building going down the escalator, there are two men talking below me. I look down as they get off, with me just about to step off myself, and there was another 100 shekel note, folded the same way, twice in half.

Shimshon I don't know what that means, but you reminded me of something. Many years ago I was in a carpark and i met a friend I was at school with, and we were talking. I looked down and saw two dollar coins on the ground, I picked them up and gave her one and kept one for myself. Then, a few weeks later, I met her again, and we had both found out we were pregnant. Months later, we both had baby boys, born days apart.
