Don't Worry Be Happy

Last night I had the worst sleep of my life, and when I got up this morning I realized I had forgotten to take a vital dose of my medication, no wonder I couldn't sleep.  I had dreams of Hugh Jackman - I don't even like Hugh Jackman particularly, so I am just confused, and exhausted.

Raced out very early to do some shopping.... for some reason Australians are buying up toilet paper, and among other things I was searching for some for a neighbour of mine who is unwell.  Toilet paper?  I have no answers why Aussies have bought so much, but that's the world we are living in right now, there are no explanations for anything.

It's raining, Cyclone Esther is reaching my part of world, bringing unexpected blessings to Australia.

There's a Super Moon coming for Purim and Pesach and it's a sign

And now I'm going back to bed.

Good night everyone.

Bless you Devorah..

It is good not to get too overwhelmed by this virus news. But to take some precautions one must.

After all, Hashem gave us also brains to do what is the right thing..

When the time is up for us to go, yes we will. But when it comes to illness and taking some precaution, perhaps Hashem would expect that of us.

Wish you good health... Amen.

Sales of Corona beer went up in Australia by 25%. It reflects the Aussies' spirit as reaction in reverse. Same with the buying of toilet paper as "major" response to the virus.
Australia is protected from shamayim.
After the panic acquisition of toilet paper watch out the disappearance of Corona beer from BWS shops.
The Cyclone Esther is indeed a blessing

Here in Israel we feel more safe, but there is segula rabbi Chaim Volozhin from nefesh haChaim, google it and go deep into it, repeat it and repeat it many many times until you are happy, and you definitely will be happy. Better to read it in Hebrew because it works much stronger. And take a notebook and thank Hashem for everything, talk to him, tell him how happy you are having him, that you want to be a vessel for his Will and so on.The more you do it the better,do it at list ones a day. Nearly a year I'm going through time that only this 2 thigs can help me.

People buy toilet paper because of the "Herd Mentality".
One person fears stocks will run out because of how the virus will affect the supply chain, so others are gripped by this irrational fear and follow their behaviour.
Shabbat Shalom.

This is not Jewish hashkafa. There is something we can do and it is a mitzvah to do so. (And you shall guard your lives exceedingly). Hakol beydei shamaim chutz m'yirat shamaim vetsinim pachim. (everything is from Hashem except for fear of heaven and catching a cold.) Meaning that Hashem expects us to follow the laws of nature. You can't smoke for twenty years and then say why is Hashem doing this to me. So too with reasonable precautions for corona. Jewish hashakfa says that we can reduce or add to our allotted years (by bad living (spiritually or physically, or conversely by tsedaka, tshuva, tefilla).

1. Rav Kook from Tiveria said to say 100 brachot a day, (amida x3, bircat hamazon, bircot hashachar etc, etc comes to 100), this is from the time of David Hamelech when there was an epidemic, and he instituted the 100 brachot, and it stopped. And of course to say asher yatsar with kavana, preferably reading it, not by heart, and in the amida refaeinu and in the personal part.
3. Learn Torah at every meal for shmira.
4. Tsedaka matsil mimavet, giving charity saves you from death.
6. Be positive, "with Hashem's help I am strong and healthy".
8. When you leave the house say this:
יְֽהֹוָ֗ה יִשְׁמׇר־צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ
  מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

2. Strengthen your immune system, stop eating junk, sugar, white flour etc, take extra vitamin c, sleep etc.
3. Wash your hands well with soap before touching your face or preparing food.
5. Masks apparently are not that helpful, and in any case the virus can enter the eyes. It is almost impossible not to come into contact with it. The main thing is hand washing and of course all the spiritual aspects.
7. All of this is for reasonably healthy people. The elderly and people with pre-existing conditions may have to take more care, each according to their situation. Also if you know someone who fits this description reach out and see what assistance they need.

You're welcome

Yes of course take precautions, i was trying to say don't live in fear and a state of panic. Many people who got this virus have no idea how they got it. Then there are others who have flown half way around the world and have not got it. It's like a lottery and even if we are very careful and wash our hands etc [soap is just as effective as hand sanitiser by the way] you could still get the virus. Just stay calm and have faith in Hashem.
